A neat extension for firefox that displays the local weather forecast. This morning I was just reading through the java 1.5.0 release notes, a small pop-up window informed me that it was starting to rain outside. There’s a window right opposite my desk and I could see that. But still it was cool: after all the information was correct. The forecast has now been correct for two consecutive days (that’s how long I have the extension). I stayed home determined to wait for the moment it stopped raining to go to work.
Yeah right. It stopped. I took my bike and just around the corner of the street the downpour started. I’ve never been so wet when I got to work. I still am – but now I can see the sunshine mirrored in the windows of the building opposite my office window. Yak!
