… in our team there is someone who’s statistically analyzing all thrown exceptions … his goal and responibility was to kick the others to fix their bugs.
Since the beginning of the month there seem to be very very few exceptions. Now instead of everyone being happy, this seems mighty suspicious. Just a minute ago there was an email asking: “Hey guys which one of you fixed bug X and who made exception Y disappear? Please email me, so I can make sure that the exception handling isn’t broken!”
So it ain’t no good when there are bugs and it ain’t no good either when there are no bugs.
update it was a bug in the exception handling routine! So we learn: fixing bugs is good, Paranoia is better!
