Open source Java is a nice idea, one that’s not going to be realized in the near future for sure. But this article’s Sun’s Microsoft: Mistake end, made me laugh:
If Sun really wants to thrive in the future, it should be looking to Novell’s ongoing transformation into a Linux powerhouse as its model. For example, I think the best thing Sun could do with its Microsoft money is to buy out Red Hat. It’s in Linux, not in proprietary plans, that Sun’s rosiest future lies.
